クラスJって？

JALホームページによると、ちょっと快適な座席のことを言います。国内線ファーストクラスの座席よりもお手軽な料金で、普通席よりも快適な座席です。

当日アップグレードの方法

基本的に航空券購入時にクラスJのシートを選択できますが、特典航空券などで発券している場合は当日空港で手続きすることができます。

①電光掲示板を確認

まずは空港内にある電光掲示板で自分が搭乗する便のクラスJ空き状況を確かめましょう。地方空港発であれば比較的空席はあるものの、羽田空港発の場合、満席になってしまうこともあります。特に2人利用の場合は、並び席で確保できる可能性はぐっと上がってしまうため、注意が必要です。

有償航空券であれば、航空券購入時にクラスJを指定した方がいいですね。

②航空券購入カウンターへ

さて、空席確認ができたら航空券購入カウンターへ行きましょう。クラスJへの当日アップグレードをしたい旨を伝えれば、カウンターで1000円を支払うだけでアップグレードできます。支払方法は現金かクレジットカードのどちらかになります。

先日羽田空港国内線を利用した際、意外にクラスJは人気だったようで出発1時間半前であったにもかかわらず空席なしになりました。

一方で、伊丹線はガラガラのようで、曜日や行き先によってだいぶ違いがありそうな状況です。

【印刷できない】BA特典航空券利用時に空港で起きる困ったこと

日本国内線をBA特典で予約するというマイラーには有名な発券方法ですが、実は当日空港で注意点があったりします。

先日JAL国内線をBA AVIOSで予約した際に、羽田空港で困った状況に遭遇しました。

自動チェックイン機でチケット印刷できない

実はBAの特典航空券を発券していると、当日の紙のチケットを自動チェックイン機で出力できません。私も全然国内線使わないから、先日初めて知った次第です。

自動チェックイン機は、JALの予約番号や購入時のクレジットカード番号等で搭乗便を特定するのですが、ここには(当然ですが)BAで発行される予約番号を入力することはできません。

 先日の旅行ではアマデウスと呼ばれるイーチケットの詳細を確認できるシステムを活用して、BA予約番号→JAL予約番号を確認していましたが、自動チェックイン機では入力できる箇所はありませんでした。

有人カウンターへ

そういうときは有人カウンターへ行くと基本的に問題なく解決します。手荷物預け側のチェックインカウンターでもいいですし、国際線乗り継ぎカウンターのどちらでも対応はしてもらえます。

空港毎に運用は異なると思いますが、基本的にどの有人カウンターでも対応できるので、早めに並ぶといいでしょう。

大混雑時は基本我慢

非常に悩ましいのが 、空港あるあるネタとも言える信じられないレベルの混雑時は要注意です。上級会員ならまだしも平会員の場合、大行列した後ろの並ばざるを得ない場合もあります。

あまり明確な解決方法がないのですが、有人カウンターに立ち寄らないと印刷できないため、事前印刷かJALホームページ等で搭乗用バーコードをダウンロードしておくのが懸命かと思われます。

(私の場合、このときシステムエラーにより搭乗バーコードを出すこともできませんでしたが)

【超便利 】羽田空港へは最寄りの直通バスを使おう

東京23区内や東京近郊在住のみなさんは普段どのように羽田空港に行っていますか？電車やモノレール等ありますが、ちょっと不便だったりします。

羽田空港へどう行くか

羽田空港への交通手段は大きく分けると

• 電車(京浜またはモノレール)
• バス(空港リムジンバス)
• タクシー

になるかと思います。電車は安いのが長所で乗り換えが少なければ非常に楽なのですが、荷物が多いとそれはそれで大変です。タクシーは自宅や職場がどこであろうと、荷物が多かろうと楽ですが金額的に最低でも3000円はないと厳しいでしょう。私個人が1番オススメするのは空港リムジンバスです。

空港リムジンバスは快適

先日も空港リムジンバスで羽田空港へ行きました。東京空港交通と京浜急行バスの2社が複数地域から羽田空港までのリムジンバスを運行しており、1000円前後で空港まで行くことができます。

車内Wifi等の設備はないですが、極々標準的な2-2アブレストの座席で快適です。

空港リムジンバスの注意点

ただ、昨今はリムジンバスの利便性が知れわたってしまったせいか、結構混むようになってしまいました。ときには、満席となってしまうことも。

夏休みは、大型トランクを持って旅行モードの人も多めなので、より利用者が増えています。利用する際はご注意ください。

Bell travel service is very convenient as transportation from Pattaya to BKK

I tried to use Bell travel service when I went to back from Pattaya to Bangkok airport. It was so convenient for my impression.

Bell travel service 

You can move between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport and Pattaya city by Bell travel service.

This time I used a limousine shuttle bus service called "Bell travel service" connecting between many of hotels in Pattaya and Bangkok Suvrnabhumi airport. 

The details are below.

• Available to book by online
• you can book even a day before
• Pick up at your hotel in Pattaya
• Take about 30 min to for picking up from your hotel to the bus terminal 
• Take about 90 min from the bus terminal to the airport
• Fee 240 THB fixed

Fee is so economical

When you take a taxi from Pattaya to the airport, it usually takes around 1500 THB. If you book the Bell travel service, you can move to the airport by just 240 THB(around 7 USD)!!

Most economical way

I noted the most economical way to the airport to ride a limousine shuttle bus from a bus terminal in Jomtien to the airport. This way takes just 120 THB!

even if you take Sonteu twice as transportation to the bus terminal in Jomtien, total cost is 140 THB(around 4.5 USD). I recommend this way to those who are familiar with Pattaya or Thailand.

How long to get there 

It is easy and economy transportation for taking 30 min as picking from a hotel to the buss terminal and taking 90 min to the airport though I wonder how long I took.

I would like to introduce my case.

• 16:00 Waiting for picking up at my hotel
• 16:40 Picking me up at my hotel
• 16:55 Transfer a limousine bus at the bus terminal
• 17:10 Departure for the airport
• 18:50 Arrived at Suvrnabhami airport

I was going to be picked up at 16:30 though since there is a possibility to fracture the time 30 min before or later, it took totally 2 hours and 50 minutes including eyedring time. Please Remind you of trying.

Lounge review : Coral Executive Lounge in Bangkok Don Muang Airport

I went back to Japan from Pattaya through Don Muang airport by Thai air Asia X. Don Muang airport is only for LCC though actually there are airport lounges.

Coral Executive Lounge

After security checking, you can find the lounge.

Operating time is limited until 10PM but it is pretty convenient. You can enjoy the lounge using PriorityPass or Dinners Credit Card etc. I recommend to stop the Lounge if you have these status card.

Note that the Lounge has;

• Available for those who have Priority Pass or Dinners Card
• Alcohol drink is not complimentary
• No shower rooms

I think hard for passengers who board midnight flights not to be able to take shower before boarding. When I visited the Lounge, there were a few people and it has so spacious area in the Lounge.

Even though I board LCC, Don Muang airport provides comfortable space since I can stay airport lounges before departure. Hell in the flight though.

Priority Pass

You can get a Priority Pass with unlimited use annually by issuing Rakuten Premium card.

I recommend Priority Pass to those who are heavy users for LCC because  even if you travel by LCC, you can stay airport lounges using Priority Pass.

Hotel review: Thai garden resort

I visited Pattaya in Thailand as holidays. I've already been here many times before though I have not found favorite hotels in Pattaya.

I booked "Thai garden resort" this time as I can find a good deal plan in Kaligo App.

Thai garden resort 

This hotel places north of Pattaya area and it's a larger hotel than usual hotels like 3 or 4 star ranked in Pattaya area. This hotel doesn't seem to belong global hotel groups such as Hilton, IHG like that. It looks like the hotel aim a local resort.

Pool

This hotel has a big pool like a pond and many of guests enjoy under hot Pattaya sunshine all day.

Breakfast

Breakfast is buffet style. The hotel placed in Thailand, South Asia though, there are many kinds of bread. I think since the orner of the hotel is Germany and most of guests are Germany, so the hotel might make breakfast the preference of Germany.

There are raw hum, egg station... but I found many insects outside and I haven't a good breakfast much.

Rumors 

It was reported that there are some reviews in TripAdvisor which Indian guest were served discriminatory.

I am Japanese so I am just concerned something like that though I haven't had any feeling of discrimination from check-in to check-out as every hotel staffs were very helpful and so kind.

Expenses 

The hotel seemed to be booked by around 90 USD through every hotel booking site(e.g. Expedia, Booking.com etc). I think it's expensive compared with a level of economy room( which I stayed in as lowest price) in Pattaya area.

Even though that, since I booked the hotel through KALIGO which is a hotel booking service with airline mileage redemption and KALIGO has the doubled mileage promotion so I had great stays with great 5,400 Alaska mileage.

230USD TICKETS of Thai air Asia X

Thai air Asia X

Air Asia is low cost career of Kuala Lumpur as airline hub. On the other hand, Thai air Asia X is LCC of Bangkok Don Muangdon airport as airline hub.

Air Asia have a few promotions as Big sales in a year. I found good value round tickets between Tokyo NARITA to Bangkok Don Muang in last September, so I booked the tickets for 25k jpy(nealy 230 USD).

Market price of tickets between Bangkok and Tokyo

As you know, market prices of tickets depends on timing and seasonal. Limited economy class, the lowest prices of round tickets are following;

• Japan Airline; around 540USD
• ANA; around 540USD
• Thai airways; around 360USD
• Thai air Asia X; around 180USD
• Scoot; around 180USD

It is difficult to find the lowest prices of LCC tickets unless you focus on the Sale and these tickets do not allow to check baggages and no t include any in-flight meals. I think it seemed to be hard travel.

The prices of tickets of Full service careers are more expensive than those of LCC though FSC provides in-flight meals, checked baggages and other soft services.

We can find good price of tickets of FSC as long as you check on flexible schedule. However it might be tough on additional 360USD payments.

If you accept a transit in other countries,

• Cathey pacific airline
•  Vietnam airline
• Malaysia airline
• China airline

These airlines would be your options. I recommend Malaysia airline since they often have big promotions for business class and we can buy the business class for just around 720USD. If you have enough budget for your travel, I recommend it so much.

When you cannot find any inexpensive tickets, why not check STW travel agent.

(I am sorry but this agent supports only in Japanese)

STW provides travel package included air tickets and accommodations so you have to choice a package of many they provide. However you can travel for best price range.

Combine an award tickets

Personally I think it's the best way to use an award tickets of Star alliance or One world. It would be a little bit more difficult for everyone who do not often travel abroad though if you save up miles, lets do that!
